You can contact the Meldpunt Huurders Nijmegen for complaints about undesirable landlord behavior. The Good Landlordship Act defines what constitutes such behavior, including:
Discrimination
Intimidation
Excessive deposit (more than 2 months’ base rent)
No written rental contract
Insufficient information in the contract (no clear details on tenant and landlord rights & obligations)
Incorrect service charges
Double brokerage fees
When the rental agreement is not separate from an employment contract
When the contract and/or communication is not in a language understandable to the tenant
These rules apply to all landlords in the Netherlands from July 1, 2023. However, the requirement to provide tenant information applies to all rental agreements from January 1, 2024.

New Complaints Under the Affordable Rent Act (from January 1, 2025)
For rental contracts signed after July 1, 2024, you can also report:
Excessively high rent
Unauthorized rent increases
Missing points-based rent calculation
